Just look at it! If only they sold it here, could compete with the Mirage and the Micra. The ultra-cheap, sub-subcompact segment is severely lacking in North America, save for more expensive cars like the 500 and Smart.

Kinja'd!!!

The interior is pretty snazzy too.

And, VW, I know you’re kinda busy with your diesels, but we need the up! as well. And Skoda, and Seat.

I love them, but I know for sure they wouldn’t sell well in America.

Holy crap that looks nice and those wheels..and that interior!

If this came to America, the Fiat 500 would die. This is the kind of subcompact we need more of.

My parent’s rented this on their honeymoon in Aruba. They said it was sooo underpowered it could barely make it up hills, but it was so cute and enjoyable when on flat ground.

Im sorry to break it to you, but they are crap.

i had the please of driving in one for about 3 months, as a replacement car from work.

- the seats are horrible - im not a big person, and there is just no side grip, and padding is super thin, after a couple of months you feel the springs.

-highway cruising is done @around 4K RPM which is loud enough to make you shout at you passenger..

-its no that fuel efficient - it does around 1/15k (36MPG US) in the city, the auto gets supposedly worse.

-the plastic is cheap and hollow.

Id take the 108/C1/Aygo any day, they are much better city cars.

I feel like the only way the Picanto would truly succeed here is of they only offered the Euro-spec 1.25 Kappa I4 because, with the exception of the ForTwo and Mirage...there just isn’t much of a market for the 3 cylinder engines.

That’s why the other cars that size here all have I4s, and even so, they might need to put a turbo on it, or figure a way to get the 1.6 from the Rio under the hood.

This is smaller than the mirage and Micra, also slower, think of a Chevrolet Spark for a good comparison. Americans wouldn’t buy it for the same reasons they don’t buy the Spark.

The car I want is the Suzuki Alto from the Philippines.

Kinja'd!!!

Suzuki Alto 800 0.8L 47hp 3cyl with Air conditioning for only 418,000 pesos ($10450) this is including all taxes AND Insurance ,the only other cost is the gas. Pretty cheap for a brand new car.
